More driving range by intelligent air conditioning for eCars
There is currently no International Automobile Fair without models and prototypes with alternative driving mechanism. Especially vehicles with electrical power system are highly estimated by different car manufacturers from all over the world as well as by customers.
This alternative solution to the combustion engine has reached its readiness for start of production and the environmentally friendly “electricals” are going to be part of the daily picture on our streets. Talking about combustion engines, facts like engine output, consumption and CO2 emission dominate the discussions, while driving range, life cycle and charging time of the batteries are the basis of discussions concerning electrical vehicles.
Around the application of this driving mechanism, vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and energy providers still have to solve some tasks and problems because customers do not want to miss any comfort and technical features of today’s cars.
Konvekta, as a specialist for air conditioning solutions, is now stepping in “the research and development competition” between suppliers of ancillary units and assisting systems. The outrider and market leader of a/c units with CO2 technology from the north of Hesse focuses especially on air conditioning of the E-vehicle category.
As one is used to, Konvekta’s team of developers is working on a conceptual air conditioning solution which has not been pursued so far and which can achieve more than just warm and cool the vehicle inside.
While presently air conditioning units of electrical cars are powered entirely by the electrical energy stored in the battery, which decreases the driving range of vehicles significantly, Konvekta goes its own way with its new conceptual idea.
At this progressive solution, Konvekta builds on already approved methods and environmentally friendly CO2 air conditioning technology. During the operation of the heat pump the unit ensures, even without a secondary circle, in the summertime a “cool head” and in the wintertime comforting warmth in the vehicle inside.
At the same time the reheat function has a share for passengers safety, because it provides a fast dehumidification and therefore a clearer front window.
Furthermore the unit controls the battery temperature so that they can always work in an optimal temperature range for optimal output. This increases, on the one hand the driving range of the vehicle by up to 40% and lengthens simultaneously the life cycle of the damageable and expensive energy storage, on the other hand.
Surely, manufacturers of eCars have waited for this solution. It provides a transformation of energy into warmth or cold with significantly lower loss in comparison to a dull, conventional water circle.
Furthermore, one is approaching the ideal conception of an environmentally friendly vehicle in motor-driven private transport because of the use of the refrigerant CO2 (R744) an eCar has the lowest emissions compared to other refrigerants. In addition, CO2 is natural, non-toxic, incombustible and also long-term available, as well as inexpensive.
One can be excited when car manufacturers will make out the manifold advantages and profits of the air conditioning concept developed by Konvekta.
